ARCHIE HUGHES (ASCAP) VOCALS / GUITAR / SONGWRITER
Music has been an integral part of Archie Hughes' life since early childhood. He was born into a musical family and therefore feels that music is one of the most important aspects of his life. The music that his family exposed Archie to in his early years helped him develop his unique and distinct style of song writing.

Archie Hughes has had a band since the early 70's up to the late 90's. The sound was from country swing to southern rock. Playing in small clubs to playing at major events to be the open act for major artists' throughout the greater SF Bay Area and beyond.

Now residing in Sonoma County since 2006, Archie continues his love to write and perform. Now a member of the West Coast Songwriters Association, once again his drive and vision of songwriting and performing has open doors again. "I do believe that music and sharing your original composition to anyone that will listen is a treasure in itself. A few keystrokes and with the internet, you can express all you want and the world strives for it". Good or bad....it's here to stay".

DALE BROCK (ASCAP) VOCALS / GUITAR / SONGWRITER
Influenced by his parents who performed as a Texas Swing Band throughout the greater Los Angeles area during the late 1940s, and later converted to performing gospel music, Dale began writing music and performing as a solo singer/guitar player in the 1970s.

After spending a number of years on the San Francisco Bay Peninsula performing mainly cover tunes at various club venues, Dale hooked up with his cousin and his wife to form a trio called "The Family Portrait". "The Family Portrait" performed a variety of country and country flavored pop and folk tunes in the SF Bay Area including some of Dale's original compositions.

After moving to Sonoma County in 2003, his creative aspirations began to command attention. "I gave in and the songs just keep coming and I am now recording and performing only original material. Not sure where this train is headed but it’s a fun ride and I’m on board to the end of the line".

MATT PETRUSKA - BASS
Now residing in Santa Rosa, Matt Petruska got his musical start in the 1980’s playing with Minneapolis Jam Bands Third Stone and the Madcaps. After spending a number of years on the San Francisco Bay Peninsula performing mainly cover tunes at various club venues. I love to improvise live and I am always seeking opportunities to reinvent a song.” In 1993, he moved to Northern California with high school friends and founded the original funk band People Tree.

Matt put his music on the backburner for eight years while his children were young. His reentry to the scene came in 2003 where he gigged with fellow band mates Richard and Mike. “With The Fortunate Sons, I feel that I have found a group of amazing musicians that I really enjoy gigging with.”

Matt is very influenced by the music of New Orleans. “The syncopated second line rhythms have an infectious groove and feature two of my favorite bass players, George Porter Jr. and Reggie Scanlan.” “I am also very influenced by the soul music of the 1960’s and strive to emulate bass legends Duck Dunn, Fred Thomas, and James Jamerson.”
